BLOG: What to do Rainy Days

If you’ve been in the Jackson area for the last week or so, you know what I’m talking about. It’s been non-stop rain or drizzle, and it is starting to take a toll on the spirit of summer. Not to worry! I’m here to let you know of all the fun things you can do on a rainy day! Try these activites out for the next 10 days:

1. Cook/Bake

Try that recipe that you’ve been meaning to whip up for a while now. It will kill time, and you’ll fix yourself a nice meal or snack! (Click the pictures for links!)

super yummy cookies!

2. Go Play!

If you don’t have anything else to do for the rest of the day, who cares if you get a little wet? Grab a few friends and play tag!

3. Craft

One word: Pinterest. You’re welcome.

crayon and a hairdryer…who knew?

4. Build a Fort

Now that we’re older, a fort can be SO much more than just a blanket thrown over some chairs. Get creative and bring out your inner architect, then throw in your favorite classic movie and enjoy!

AWESOME.

5. Read

It may be a traditional past time, but it’s a past time for a reason! Grab a book and sit out on the porch, the sound of the rain goes with any story. OR you could stay inside and light a candle for ultimate relaxation.

looks cozy!

6. Write a Letter

You know that Aunt that you haven’t spoken to since the last family reunion, or that old friend from high school you only see on facebook once in awhile? Write them letters! Everyone loves getting REAL mail.

With the upcoming forecast, you have enough days of rain to do all of these! Have fun and make the best of it!

  1. Thanks for the suggestions on things to do! I will keep that in mind on my next rainy day (which might be today, but I’m not sure). Thanks again!
