Welcome Week 2012 was one of my favorite events I’ve been involved in here at MC. This past fall I was a member of THE CREW, which is the group of students who put together a week long party for freshmen and transfer students. I had a blast helping plan awesome events like Night at the Rez, A Night in Black and White with the Royce’s, and Flick on the Bricks. Unfortunately I didn’t take part in Welcome Week when I was a freshman 3 years ago, and it’s something I definitely regret! I missed out on meeting so many people and getting to go to fun events, so I definitely encourage all incoming freshmen and transfer students to not make the same mistake I did. Even if you aren’t super out-going, be willing to step out of your comfort zone! You’ll be so glad you did!
